Shepherds College (SC) is a residential postsecondary school exclusively for young adults with intellectual disabilities.  Located in Union Grove, WI, SC offers a comprehensive educational and training program designed to help individuals understand the purpose for which they have been created and the equipping to pursue that purpose through a life that demonstrates Appropriate IndependenceTM.  SC is a faith-based ministry and as such requires that staff members have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Part-time Classroom Assistant

Summary: The Classroom Assistant will serve as a paraprofessional to Shepherds College (SC) instructors, working with individual or groups of students in order to enhance classroom learning.

Status: Seasonal employment

Hours:  Varied & during the school day

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an educational setting as an instructor, tutor, or classroom assistant, is necessary
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, is preferred

 

Part-time Weekend Residential Life Staff

Summary: Residential Life Weekend Staff for Shepherds College (SC) will help guide SC students in the implementation of daily living skills training and provide weekend supervision and direction for the students through both structured activities and leisure time interactions.

Status: Seasonal employment

Hours:  Weekend hours exclusively, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. & 10:00 p.m.

Summary: Residential Life Weekend Staff for Shepherds College (SC) will help guide SC students in the implementation of daily living skills training and provide weekend supervision and direction for the students through both structured activities and leisure time interactions.

 

Emergency Response Staff

Summary: The Emergency Response Staff provide overnight supervision to Shepherds College students in a residential setting and are permitted to sleep while students sleep.

Status: Seasonal employment

Hours:  ERS shifts are 10:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. & are available starting on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturday evenings

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an educational and/or residential setting
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, is preferred
